Crabtree was the wrong guy for the position anyway. He's a joke when it comes to coaching.

    4. Jason Mullins
    5. Chris Crabtree

Now out of these 5 coaches tell me how many were run off by the parents? 3 of these coaches had personal reasons why they left, not because of the parents. 1 of them quoted in the paper saying he didnot have the support of the administration to bring in who he wanted. Pound's administration is run by women, who one I really like, the other one has stepped down as AD and should have never been AD IMO anyway. These women shouldn't be making decisions about Football, especially when they have no idea about the sport to begin with. The administration should atleast have enough faith in their coach, since they hired him to start with about letting him have the support he asked for. Not deny him because they have personal issues with who he wants to help him coach. There is alot that is not told on this board out of respect for these past coaches personal lives. We should respect them that much. But to get on here and say that Pound has run off every other coach is a flat out lie too. Jason was the only coach that left over petitions.
Every town has mouthy fans, parent, students. BI has had those wanting him to leave, Phil has had many talking trash about him on here and out in public. But because they have stayed through the rough times then it is all ok. But everytime Pound has a coach to leave everyone just assumes the parents got rid of them. That just simply is not true. </div></div>

Regardless of who ran who off, or who left because of the parents or anything else...I will say this...as long "members of the community" are involved in the interview process, and sitting there as an active participant during the interviews, Pound will never find a coach. That is the most hair brained idea ever concocted. A coach goes somewhere to coach, not to make everyone happy and sing Kumbaya.
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....

    Re: Rumor Mill

Like I said, it was a rumor, and an unconfirmed rumor at that.

    Re: Rumor Mill

There was no 'blow up' between the coaches. The rumor is false. Chris, whether you like him or hate him, is not that kind of person, just to walk away or resign in the middle of the season. I talked with someone close to the situation and it is just a stupid rumor started to cause problems. Some would like to see Crabtree go, what's new with that? Tell me one coach anywhere that has not had this kind of problem. The people that start these rumors are idiots. Just a 'snake' in the grass.

I've heard of a 'one-eyed snake' but that I believe is in reference to a 'cross-eyed snake'

    Re: Rumor Mill

I was told that it wasn't his decision. If you have a question about it, instead of asking anyone else, why not call Crabtree and ask him. His phone number is in the book. Or call the principal and ask her.
